Flat Stanley visits New Jersey Family

   Today Flat Stanley sent us a letter from Paterson, New Jersey! He seemed really excited to be there. He visited one of our 2nd grade students' houses and then hopped into an envelope and came on back to our school. We were very excited to see him.

Midland PA & Shippingport PA see Flat Stanley!

Today Flat Stanley went through Midland Pennsylvania, then drove through Shippingport Pennsylvania to look at the cooling towers, and then he went to Thanksgiving Dinner in Center Township. He really enjoyed dessert... We really enjoyed looking at the pictures!

Kevin Frazier & Nancy O'Dell of Entertainment Tonight (CA)

 Today was a really neat day for Flat Stanley. He traveled to California and got to hang out on the set of Entertainment Tonight with Kevin Frazier and Nancy O'Dell.   He got to see behind the scenes at a real TV show!  That was soooo cool!

94.9 The Point Radio Station & Z104 (VA)

Wow, we have gotten quite a few letters from Flat Stanley and the people he is visiting with! Today we got pictures of Flat Stanley at the 94.9 THE POINT radio studio. They also took him next door to Z104. We got to see what it is like in the radio studio. We even heard that they talked about his visit on the radio and he might have even got lost for a little while. It was a pretty funny story.

Mr. Doug in the Military over South West Asia & Iraq

We received this letter about Stanley today!

Dear Students,
Here are a few of Flat Stanley when he came to visit us in South West Asia. In the first picture, Stanley was able to try his hand at being a Co-pilot on an EC-130 combat aircraft. he did really good. In this next picture Stanley is performing scanner duties looking for enemy movement on the ground so he can relay information to the U.S. and Coalition Troops on that might be heading through this area.
Stanley was also able to look out the rear windows on the aircraft to observe the Euphrates river down below. This is a major source of water for a lot of the Middle East. This particular section that he is looking at is in Iraq!
Here Stanley is inspecting the door to make sure they are operational before any drops can happen.
After the inspections are done, Stanley decided to put on a parachute and get ready for a nice jump to the ground below.
Stanley is getting to hang out with me for a bit. We have to be on oxygen for flights above 10,000 feet when the aircraft is unpressurized.
Once we drop below 10,000 feet we can remove our breathing mask.
Here Stanley is scanning the engines on the aircraft to ensure no battle damage has occurred while we were low to the ground.
Stanley had a really great adventure with us and I hope he gets to visit again to see other exciting and new things.

Mike Tomlin-The coach of the Steelers (PA)

We are excited! Today Flat Stanley sent us an envelope from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania! It was from Mike Tomlin (the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers). He wrote us a letter letting us know that Flat Stanley joined the Steelers for their team workouts and team meetings before the Wild Card Playoff Game. There was even a picture of the football team and Mike Tomlin signed his name to it! That was sooooooooo cool!

Candace Cameron Bure from Full House & The VIEW (NY)

Today We received a journal entry and 2 photos of Flat Stanley as he visited The View in New York City with Candace Cameron Bure (She was DJ on Full House). She took pictures of him on the set with her. We thought that was pretty neat.   Can't wait to see where he goes next!

Woodford Cedar Run WildLife Refuge (NJ)

January 8th, 2016
    Today we received pictures and a letter from Christie who had Flat Stanley at the Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey. She said "The red tailed hawk in the picture is Genesis. She came to our hospital after being hit by a car & losing sight in one eye. The barn owl's name is Duster. He came to our hospital wth some kind of head trauma & no longer flies, so he stays with us. The deer's name is Sassy. She came to our hospital as a yearling because someone imprinted her & was feeding her daily. Then the people moved and Sassy was no longer wild enough to survive in the woods on her own"  We really enjoyed seeing all the photos !

   Today we learned that Flat Stanley visited a local cheer gym and got to stunt with some talented boys and girls! He looked like he was having a great time. We wonder if he was nervous stunting that high in the air?

Today Flat Stanley was at the Sugar Bowl at the Superdome in New Orleans!  He was so excited he couldn't contain himself! I wonder where he is going to go next?

Flat Stanley visited West Unity, Ohio

   Today, Flat Stanley visited Ohio!! Austyn showed  Stanley how people do glass blowing and how to paint ceramics at a special event in West Unity,Ohio It was very hot near the fire, but Stanley said he was very careful.

Taylor Parker of Edinboro University of PA

Today, Flat Stanley checked in to tell us that he was doing well visiting Taylor at Edinboro University of PA. He visited her Phi Mu Alpha's American Musical Recital and checked out the piano, visited Taylor's class buildings, and just hung out. He learned alot!

Flat Stanley visited Amsterdam (Netherlands)

Flat Stanley traveled overseas today! He flew in an airplane, visited the Van Gogh Museum, took a picture by the Harry Potter Shop, and experienced some of the wonderful sites in Amsterdam! I think Flat Stanley would like to go back sometime soon!
